Leadlighting for Beginners

These practical and enjoyable courses are designed to teach all the basic techniques for Leadlighting/Stained glass. They provide an introduction to achieving professional results in glass cutting, lead working, soldering and finishing. Students complete their own leadlight panel of a set design and size. The all-inclusive cost covers Tuition, use of workshop tools and materials, choosing from a large selection of different coloured and textured glass types.

Lampshade (Copper foil) For Beginners

This course demonstrates the basic techniques involved in lampshade making, including foiling, assembling, soldering and finishing. Each student makes their own lampshade using the workshop tools.  Suitable for students with no previous glass cutting experience.  All materials are offered in kit form with the glass pre-cut and ready for foiling.

Advanced Leadlighting
This 8 week course is designed to enhance the knowledge gained in the beginners’ course.  Students design, draw and handcraft their own project. No restrictions are placed on the complexity of any design chosen or the number of projects attempted by students but friendly advice as to your expected ability to achieve these will be offered (don’t be discouraged though!!). This course requires Students to have their own equipment (excluding Grinders). Some homework may need to be done in order to complete your project within the 8 week course.
